Craving burgers? No buns? No problem, this recipe will make you 12 fresh hamburger buns.
You will need:
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vital wheat gluten
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
Step 1: Add all ingredients in bread maker in the order listed in the ingredient list and select dough cycle.
Step 2: After your dough cycle has completed remove the risen dough and punch down.
Step 3: Divide dough into 12 equal pieces.
Step 4: Roll each piece of dough into a ball on parchment paper and let rise in a warm place for 30-45 min. or until double in size.

Step 5: Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12 min or until golden brown on top. Let cool, slice in half and enjoy.
The dough can also be made in a stand mixer using the following method:
Step 1: Combine yeast in the warm water with 1 tbs. of sugar in the bowl of your mixer and let sit 5 min. to proof.
Step 2: After the 5 min. add the oil to the proofed yeast mixture.
Step 3: In a separate bowl mix your flour, vital wheat gluten, and salt and add to the yeast/oil mixture in 1 cup increments and mix until dough forms.
Step 4: Let dough rise for 45 min or until doubled in size.
Step 5: Remove the risen dough and punch down and divide into 12 equal pieces.
Step 6: Roll each piece of dough into a ball on parchment paper and let rise in a warm place for 30-45 min. or until double in size.
Step 7: Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12 min or until golden brown on top. Let cool, slice in half and enjoy.
