MyBlogSpark recently sent us a package, with some Simply Fruit Roll-Ups and Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Bars, along with a gift card to Costco to buy some more of them! These products are available at our Costco, in the usual Costco size packing – which means super sized item amounts and a great price.
I was impressed with the new Simply Fruit Roll-Ups. I’ve never been a big fan of fruit snacks, too many of them have too much corn syrup and sugar. And it’s bizarre to me that although they have that odd gelatinous texture that screams “not food” the kids find them quite addictive… ! But these new Fruit Roll-Ups are nice. They are made from fruit puree and fruit juice, no corn syrup or added sugar in sight. No weird ingredients you can’t pronounce either, and that’s something I like to see. Each one is a full “serving” of fruit, and although I don’t recommend skipping out on real fruit I do think these are fun for a snack or a park day!
Being that they’re *almost* healthy I was concerned the kids might not be into them. But they are! Score!
As for the Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Bars? I love them. They’re crammed full of nuts and fruits and taste delicious. They’re not great for toddlers with their little mouths and little teeth (these are very dense bars and take some chewing!) , but they are a nice healthy snack for bigger kids and adults. Just like the Fruit Roll-Ups, the Nature Valley Bars have a great ingredient list – no artificial colors or flavors in them.
These type of foods are great for summer, they’re easy to grab and eat when you’re on the run trying to enjoy our Alaskan summer weather. :-)
I’m a Costco shopper. Although I’m also a Coupon Diva, there are some items that are cheaper to buy in bulk! If you can find coupons and a screamin’ deal at the store on snacks, by all means stock up. But when you can’t and you still need them? You can’t beat Costco prices.
Want to win a prize pack with a box of the Nature Valley Granola Bars (48 ct), Fruit Roll-Ups (42 ct), AND a $25 gift card to use at Costco? Leave a note on this post! We’ll keep the giveaway open for a week and use random.org to select a winner. Here’s how to enter:

Great giveaway!
My favorite snack food is trail mix or granola bars!
I normally buy paper products or cleaning supplies from Costco and/or Sams Club.
I would love to win this. My fiance and I are saving for our wedding and our first house we close on this summer. This would help us buy some groceries!

1. Our favorite snack is Food Should Taste Good multigrain tortilla chips. They are healthy and available at Costco. We eat them with my homemade hummus.
2. We buy lots of stuff at Costco: produce, canned goods, organic soy milk, salmon burgers, sliced turkey breast, cheese, as well as the tortilla chips.
My go to snack for my kids are Fruit and Yogurt bars. I get mine at Fred Meyer and my kids ask for them all of the time!!! But like you said, what kid doesn’t like fruit roll ups.
