First Walmart, now Target. Super deals on Campbell’s Soup can be found all over lately. Not interested in all the sodium that comes with the yum? You can make your own simliar base to use in these recipes, go here to learn more. From casseroles to soups to chicken and pork, there are so many easy recipes which start with a can of cream of chicken or mushroom. Do you have a favorite? I’d love to see it. Send it to us, please! I’ll write up a post with everything I get!
Chicken Rice Casserole.
2-4 Chicken Breasts
1 Can Cream of Mushroom
1 Can Cream of Chicken
1 Chicken Bouillon Cube
2 Soup Cans Rice
2 Soup Cans Water
1 Soup Can Milk
Start by cooking your chicken. I like to take my frozen chicken breasts, rub some olive oil and salt into them, and then throw them in a foil covered pan in the oven for about 45 minutes. Cook them anyway you want, though! Then cube them. Throw the chicken and the rest of the ingredients in a pan on the stove, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover. Simmer on low for 35 minutes (or until rice is done/liquid is absorbed). Serve with some Parmseasn Cheese (this is one instance where I actually prefer the stuff in the green can versus shredded fresh). Yuuuuuum. Comfort food! No picture, as it doesn’t look like much more than a bunch of white ingredients. But it tastes good and makes a lot!
Here’s a link back to my absolute favorite soup, Chicken Tortilla, which uses cream of chicken. It also takes about 5 minutes to throw in the crock pot, which is a huge plus. The flavor? Tasty like you’ve worked on it all day!
Moving on, here’s another crockpot recipe for you that’s DELICIOUS!
Ranch House Crock Pot Pork Chops
6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
1 packet dry Ranch Dressing Seasoning
10 oz can Cream of Chicken Soup
1. Place pork chops, Ranch seasoning and soup into a medium sized crock pot over high heat for 4 hours or low heat for 6 hours.
Serve with mashed potatoes, egg noodles, … maybe even a vegetable? Your call! Jenny, who came up with this recipe, serves them with Parmesan Mashed Potatoes. They are quite good. If you have an extra 30 minutes (and you might, since the meat part of the meal was so easy), you might want to try them. Check out her site for the recipe and for great pictures of the meal.
Okay. That’s 3 recipes. But I have 1 more. That’s how much I love these Campbell’s Products for EASY meals!
