I’ve been seeing this deal all over, so thought I’d post it. I have NOT been into Target recently to verify these prices, but based on past promotions I think our candle prices are normally in line with other parts of the country. If you’re in Target and want to check on these prices for us, that would be awesome.
Here’s the scoop: Glade has a Holiday Collection set of fragrance products, and there is an unadvertised Target deal: buy 5 of the candle tins, glass candles, or tin refills, at $2.50 a piece, and receive a $5 Target gift card. Tip: if you scan the items under the price checker at Target it will tell you which ones are included in the promotion.
I’m excited about this promotion. They have some yummy looking scents – peppermint crush, french vanilla, homemade gingerbread, hollyberry wreath, and apple cinnamon!
Lots of times the candle tins have a $1.50/1 coupon right inside the lid – just open them up, and look for the little folder paper. Careful not to drop it without noticing it’s there (not that I’ve done that!!).
Go here and print a buy 1 candle tin get 1 tin refill for free coupon.
You have a few options. You could just buy 5 of the tins for $5, and get a $5 gift card. Total cost after gift card? Free. If you can get access to a few different printers (or friends will print for you) you can buy 5 of the tins for $5, and then also get of the refills for free, and get $10 in Target gift cards. Making this a $5 money maker. Just have access to 1 printer? Buy 3 of the tins and 2 of the refills for a cost of $3 out of pocket and $2 “profit” after gift card. You get the idea – there are lots of ways to do this. What’s even better?
If you haven’t submitted for the $5 Johnson’s rebate yet (you can submit 3 per household), you can also use these candles to submit for that! Go here for the form.
And there’s more! For every item you buy you can download a Christmas mp3 here, just by entering the UPC. There are some great groups included in their list of dowload options.
This deal is running through Christmas.
Thanks, Spot To Save, for this heads up.

Thanks merczilla, yep, they're all on one grumble grumble, but at least I got the $5 gift card
Guess I'll have to do this two more times lol
If you did them on separate recipts, then you could send in two. But if it's all on one, then not. I often forget to separate my purchases for rebates. Tick myself right off. lmao
I did this deal at Target yesterday using the coupon links you gave and the coupons in the tins, worked like a charm, thanks! Question though, I was under the impression with the Johnson's rebate we could only submit one rebate at a time, thus I would only be able to get one rebate out of my purchase yesterday, even though I bought 6 items, right?
Thanks for "link love"! I like your website!!
I did this today. they are $2.99 each. Fred Meyers on dimond had blikies for the "buy a holder get the refil free". So, I got 3 sets for $8.97 and recieved a $5 gift card. Now i will send in 2 rebates for $5 each. So… $6.03MM
Julia – thanks for the tip. Didn't know about the coupon in the round glass ones. I'm hoping to check out prices when I head over to Target today!
When I did this a few weeks ago the candles were $2.99 with a $2 off 2 coupon in the round glass holders only.
