As a teacher, I would like to BEG parents to think about the quality of school supplies. Yes, you might be able to get Coolio von Schoolio (or whatever they are called) crayons for a penny, but we teachers have to throw them away in the first week. They snap, break and otherwise suck. Pleeeeease spring for the 25 cent 24-pack of Crayolas from Wal Mart. Same thing for cheapie glue sticks. They don't work. Rulers, paper, etc. – it's fine to go cheap.
At Fred Meyers in the school supply area there were 2 different stacks of coupons aval. $.40 off any Sharpie, Expo, liquid paper or paper mate AND $.50 off Avery glue sticks, hi-liters, or marks-a-lot. Both of these are redeemable only at fred meyers.
I was at Office Max and got a RR for $5 off a $25 at Payless Shoes. Just in time to get new school gym shoes!
